Chris Harrison is taking a break from the Bachelor franchise following his controversial interview with former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay.

“I have spent the last few days listening to the pain my words have caused, and I am deeply remorseful. My ignorance did damage to friends, colleagues and strangers alike. I have no one to blame but myself for what I said and the way I spoke,” the 49-year-old host wrote via Instagram on Saturday, February 13. “This historic season of The Bachelor should not be marred or overshadowed by my mistakes or diminished by my actions. “To that end, I have consulted with Warner Bros. and ABC and will be stepping aside for a period of time and will not join for the After the Final Rose special.”

The ABC personality’s announcement came after receiving backlash after speaking about Bachelor season 25 contestant Rachael Kirkconnell‘s ongoing social media scandal. Kirkconnell, 24, was called out by fans online after she was accused of exhibiting racist behavior and attending an antebellum plantation-themed party in 2018. She has since apologized in an Instagram statement. Harrison, for his part, slammed critics of Kirkconnell claiming people needed to have “a little grace, a little understanding, a little compassion” for her. At the time, he told Extra host Lindsay, 35, that he “wasn’t defending” the contestant’s actions. Days after the interview went viral, Harrison issued an apology.

In his statement announcing his decision step down as host, the father of two also wrote, “By excusing historical racism, I defended it. I invoked the term ‘woke police,’ which is unacceptable. I am ashamed over how uninformed I was. I was so wrong.” He also promised to “try to evolve and be a better man, and I humble myself before all of you” and apologized to the Black and BIPOC communities.

Once news broke, Bachelor Nation stars like Olivia Caridi, Pieper James and Sharleen Joynt, among others, responded via social media. Cardi, a 28-year-old former contestant, retweeted a Twitter post adding that Lindsay should “absolutely” be hosting in Harrison’s absence.

The model took to Instagram Stories and shared a photo of herself and the NBA star, 24, on Sunday, February 14. In June 2020, a source told Us Weekly that Jenner and Booker weren’t putting a label on their relationship just yet. Since then, the two have been spotted together multiple times and eagle-eyed fans have noticed them leaving flirty comments on each other’s Instagram posts. Earlier this month, the E! personality was even photographed wearing a Phoenix Suns sweatshirt.

Looking back! Lisa Vanderpump reminisced about her time on Dancing With the Stars and got real about performing alongside “gorgeous” partner Gleb Savchenko.

“I did become very close to Gleb. I loved him,” the Vanderpump Rules star, 60, said during an October 2020 episode of “The Bellas” podcast, which is now making headlines. “We had a little bit of an emotional affair in terms of having to connect and hold on to each other because it’s so scary … I adored him.”

The Bravo personality competed alongside the now 37-year-old dancer during DWTS season 16 in 2013. She explained that after being “married for so long and not really engaging with any kind of physicality apart from your husband,” it was fun for her to work with Savchenko.

“When you’re thrown into Dancing With the Stars and suddenly somebody’s right in your face and you’re wrapping your legs around them … That was the best part,” Vanderpump added. “And I was thinking, ‘I haven’t had this much fun since my honeymoon!’” The restaurant owner noted that her husband, Ken Todd, “doesn’t put that much importance on me messing about and flirting.”

Initially, Vanderpump’s comments came a month before Savchenko and wife Elena Samodanova called it quits. “After 14 years of marriage, and multiple affairs, I’ve decided enough is enough,” the choreographer, 36, said in a November 2020 statement, accusing her ex of “ongoing infidelity.” In his own statement to Us Weekly, Savchenko denied the “false accusations.”

Following the couple’s baby news, a source told Us Weekly, that they “are ecstatic about the pregnancy.” The former Suits star, 39, and her husband, 36, announced that they were expecting their second child together with a statement released on Sunday, February 14. “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother,” a spokesperson for the pair shared. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

One day later, on Monday, February 15, Us Weekly‘s insider said Markle and Harry are “super excited that [their son], Archie, is going to have a sibling. They’ve always wanted two children. It’s a dream come true.”

Their pregnancy news comes months after Markle revealed in November 2020 that she suffered a miscarriage in July 2020. “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second,” she wrote in an op-ed for The New York Times. “Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by a few. Things are getting serious for Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian! The couple took their rumored relationship to the next level on Tuesday, February 17, by making things Instagram official.

The reality star, 41, uploaded a photo of herself holding hands with the Blink-182 rocker, 45, just after he posted the same picture on Instagram Stories. Immediately after sharing the romantic snapshots, comments from Kardashian’s famous friends came pouring in. Barker commented a black heart emoji while Khadijah McCray wrote, “When friends become lovers.” TikTok star Addison Rae and model Miranda Kerr, among others, also shared messages of support for the couple.

The subtle PDA marks the first time the Poosh founder and famed drummer posted about each other on social media after news of their apparent romance broke last month. “Kourtney and Travis are officially a couple,” a source told Us Weekly on January 24. “They have been close friends for years and have been dating for a couple months.”

Prior to their relationship, the pair was romantically linked in the past. Rumors that they were more than friends first started swirling in February 2019, after they were seen dining together. At the time, Barker denied relationship speculation.

Kardashian shares three kids — Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6 — with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, who she was in an off-and-on relationship with from 2006 until 2015. Photos of the former Bachelor Nation couple out and about in Venice, Florida surfaced on Twitter on Tuesday, February 16. Crawley, 39, and Moss, 32, both wore sneakers and black pants on their outing. Fans were quick to point out that neither reality star wore face masks amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Photos obtained by TMZ from the same day showed the pair at a bar together.

Neither has commented on the nature of their relationship thus far.

The hairstylist and football player first met during season 16 of The Bachelorette, in which Crawley was the lead. After a historic engagement that took place two weeks after they first met, the pair called it quits in January. Moss confirmed the breakup news with a since-deleted Instagram statement, writing, “I wanted [to] share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways.”

Crawley, for her part, also addressed the split with an Instagram statement. Speaking out. Lamar Odom addressed former sister-in-law Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West‘s ongoing divorce speculation.

“I think it’s very important to do the best thing for your mental health and our mental space,” the ex-NBA player, 41, said during a Tuesday, February 16, interview with Us Weekly. “If that’s the best thing for them, then they have my blessings.”

The Khloé & Lamar alum was married to Kardashian’s sister, Khloé Kardashian, from 2009 to 2016. Following the former athlete’s October 2015 near-fatal overdose, West, 43, was a big part of his recovery. While chatting with Us Weekly on Tuesday, Odom revealed that he hasn’t “been able to speak” with the rapper. “I would love to though [after] what he did for me,” he added.

News first broke that the SKIMS founder, 40, and West could be headed for a split in early January when the New York Post’s Page Six reported that Kardashian had hired high-profile divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. The couple has been married since 2014, and welcomed four kids together — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 21 months. A source told Us Weekly on February 4 that the two aren’t speaking amid their marital woes.

“There is no communication between them right now,” the insider said. “They’re living as a divorced couple.”

The drama has started! Jackie Goldschneider brought up Teresa Giudice‘s daughter, Gia Giudice, during a heated exchange on the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 premiere on Wednesday, February 17, and their castmates have a lot of opinions about it.

After Teresa, 48, confronted Goldschneider, 44, about rumors that her husband, Evan Goldschneider, was cheating, the journalist hit back with an analogy. Goldschneider told the Staying Strong author that the affair claims were comparable to someone suggesting that her 20-year-old daughter does “coke in the bathroom” at parties.

Melissa Gorga told Us Weekly on Thursday, February 18, “it was terrible” to bring Gia’s name into the argument. “It’s one thing when we’re talking about us, it’s another thing when we bring kids in,” she added. Jennifer Aydin also addressed the situation and said, “First of all, she didn’t even say like, ‘How would you feel if I had said [this about Gia]?’ It wasn’t even articulated in that way. It was a statement.”

Goldschneider, for her part, told Us Weekly on Wednesday that has no regrets when it comes to what she said. “I wasn’t starting a rumor about Gia. I was giving an analogy,” she explained. “I think that like almost everyone will say that that’s an analogy and the truth is that there’s no one else in Teresa’s life that I can make her understand. When you say something about someone you love, whether or not it’s true, it hurts, you know? So, I don’t regret that because if I was saying something nasty about Gia, then I would regret it. But I was giving an analogy, which it was pretty clear to almost everyone.”

In a since-deleted Instagram Stories post, Gia responded to the episode with a message written by her mom’s business manager, Karianne Fischbach. “Gia is a wonderful, smart, strong and beautiful human being and what was done to her tonight was wrong on so many levels. For a grown ass ‘I’m so so smart I’m lawyer’ woman to bring Gia’s name into an argument & place an accusation with such a weighted consequence is inconceivable,” the statement read, per Us Weekly. “I cannot fathom what would [possess] someone to create a false narrative that could have severe consequences for the innocent party involved, a 19-year-old at the time who was in no way involved in anything.”

Clapping back! Khloé Kardashian slammed an Instagram troll who brought up the 2019 cheating scandal between Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson on Thursday, February 18.

“So … is Kylie allowed to be friends with [Jordyn] again?” the social media user commented on a clip from the upcoming Keeping Up With the Kardashians season, referring to the past friendship between Woods, 23, and Kylie Jenner. Upon seeing this, Kardashian, 36, hit back.

“I’m so sick and tired of this narrative that I control my sister or dictate who she chooses to surround herself with,” the E! personality wrote, per the CommentsByCelebs Instagram account. “Never once have I ever, and I mean EVER, told my sister who she can be friends with. She is an adult, who can do whatever she wants to do. I will support her in anything and everything she wants to do!”

Kardashian continued, “That means regardless of who she chooses to be friends with, I will always love, respect and value my sister unconditionally!! She is my life partner and I will always respect what she chooses!!! By the way, I have no ill feelings toward ANYONE!!! Truly. My heart carries no hatred at all. Unless you actually know what you’re talking about, respectfully, SHUT THE F—K UP!”

In February 2019, news broke that Thompson, 29, was caught kissing Jenner’s then-best friend, Woods, while in an on-and-off relationship with Kardashian. Following the scandal, the pair — who share daughter True, 2 — called it quits, and Woods moved out of Jenner’s home. Although Kardashian and Thompson have since reconciled, it’s unclear where Jenner, 23, and Woods’ relationship stands since they haven’t been since together in nearly two years.

“I’ll marry you right now,” the Flip It Like Disick star, 37, said to the mother of his three children during the trailer, which was shared via the family’s social media accounts on Thursday, February 18. Before Kourtney, 41, could answer, the video cut to another clip and left viewers wanting more. The former couple was in an on-and-off relationship from 2006 until 2015.

The KUWTK clip comes days after the Poosh founder went Instagram official with new boyfriend Travis Barker on Tuesday, February 16. Kourtney uploaded a photo of her and the 45-year-old rocker holding hands after he shared the same snap on Instagram Stories. Barker commented a black heart emoji, confirming their rumored romance.

Earlier this month, another Keeping Up With the Kardashians clip showed Kim Kardashian Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner discussing whether or not Kourtney would ever get back together with Disick. Kim, 40, told her sisters that she saw the former flames “asleep together on the couch,” sparking reconciliation rumors within the family. “They were, like, separate,” Kim explained. “They weren’t spooning on the couch or anything. … They weren’t far away though, they were close.”

“Do we think they’re hooking up again?” Kendall, 25, asked. “I just want them to try.”

From the sound of it, viewers may get answers about Kourtney and Disick’s relationship when Keeping Up With the Kardashians premieres next month.
